Oh hey there!
I like to believe I started my career in art and design back in grade school when I decided that our classroom desks were boring and that my fresh pack of sharpened pencils and silly doodles would really give them that pizzaz they needed.
I’ve always been passionate about being creative, so naturally I went into a science degree.
University was where that creative spark found its way back into my brain. When I should have been studying for exams and writing chemistry lab reports, I started making jewelry, taught myself photography, and built my online shop, Mermaid & Moon.
In 2019, I took the leap and opened an art gallery and boutique in Yellowknife, bringing Mermaid & Moon to life on a larger scale and creating a space that celebrated art, community, and storytelling. During that chapter (and yes, during that very strange time in 2020), I went back to school and completed my graphic design degree online. That’s where I found my love for brand design - understanding how visuals and messaging come together to tell a story. It shifted how I approached creativity, moving beyond making things because they looked good, and towards creating something that meant something.
In 2022, I made the decision to move to Calgary and pursue design as a full time career. I started working in marketing and communications, strengthening my skills in photography and videography, and leaning full into visual storytelling.

Collage is a way to slow down, reflect, and tell stories without needing to find the right words.
I started collaging as a way to visually journal - because let’s be honest, sometimes it’s hard to write down all those big complex feelings and cutting things up just feels good. What began as a personal practice, quickly turned into a creative outlet for reflection, curosity, and storytelling.
I showcased my first collection at my debut art show, Fragments, and shared a years worth of visual journal entries exploring self-discovery, growth, and loss.
What I love about collage is that it’s messy, intutitive and doesn’t require any strict rule following.
I find inspiration from vintage magazines, like National Geographic and hand-cut and glue each element to create a visual story. Each piece evokes a different emotion, whether it be humour, sadness, love, or curiosity.
